Atlas Cloud has been included in GP Bullhound’s Northern Tech Top 100 for 2026, recognising the fastest‑growing technology companies across the North of the UK based on three‑year revenue growth.
Compiled by technology advisory and investment firm GP Bullhound, the Northern Tech Top 100 is a data‑led ranking that reflects sustained commercial growth rather than subjective judgement. Inclusion signals not just momentum, but the ability to scale reliably over time.
A return built on intent, not chance
This isn’t Atlas Cloud’s first appearance in the Northern Tech Top 100. We were previously ranked between 2019 and 2022, during a period of rapid expansion.
In the years that followed, our growth became more measured – deliberately so. Rather than prioritising headline growth alone, we focused on strengthening the foundations of the business to support the next phase of scale.
That meant investing time and effort into building a more robust operating model – designed to deliver consistency, resilience and quality as the organisation grows.
Our inclusion in the 2026 Top 100 reflects the outcome of that work.
Building an operating system that scales
A central part of this phase was professionalising how the business operates day‑to‑day.
We deliberately built a culture of documentation across the organisation, ensuring that knowledge is captured, accessible and continuously improved. For our engineering teams, this means:
- Problems are solved faster and more consistently
- Solutions are implemented correctly first time
- Engineers can upskill more effectively and work with greater autonomy
- Service delivery is less reliant on individual heroics and more on shared understanding
This approach has allowed us to scale service quality alongside the business – rather than trading one off against the other.
Measurable improvements for customers
Crucially, this internal focus has delivered clear, measurable outcomes for our customers.
Since implementing our professional operating model:
- Tickets per user have reduced by 40%, reflecting fewer recurring issues and more resilient environments
- Customer satisfaction has remained consistently high, with CSAT above 99%
- Net Promoter Score has averaged +78 for the past three years
These results are published publicly on our website because transparency matters. For us, sustained service quality is not a marketing claim – it’s something we expect to be able to evidence.
Growth driven by trust, not shortcuts
Atlas Cloud’s return to headline growth is thanks to new client wins, after a series of high-profile professional services firms have chosen to trust our new operating model.
Organisations are choosing Atlas Cloud because they want a partner that can deliver:
- Highly compliant managed IT and cybersecurity services
- Predictable, consistently high service levels
- A scalable model that does not compromise on governance or reliability
This combination has resonated particularly strongly within the professional services sector, where operational resilience and risk management are non‑negotiable.
Becoming a recognised partner to professional services
Over time, this has shaped a clear area of specialism.
Atlas Cloud now supports a growing number of law firms, barristers’ chambers and recruitment businesses, including:
Thackray Williams, National Legal Service, Warners Solicitors, Coram Chambers, New Park Court Chambers, HW Group, Samuel Knight International and more.
These organisations typically operate in highly regulated environments, where downtime, data loss, or security incidents can have material legal, financial and reputational consequences. Our compliance‑led approach, combined with a consistently highly‑rated service, has become a differentiator in these markets.
Looking ahead: confidence built on capability
While our re‑entry into the Northern Tech Top 100 this year reflects organic growth driven by client wins, we are confident that this momentum will continue.
The operating platform we have built positions Atlas Cloud well for the future – including further scale and acquisition activity. But the underlying story remains the same: sustainable growth, supported by a model designed to scale.
Pete Watson, CEO, reflects on Atlas Cloud’s inclusion in this year’s list:
“Being named in the Northern Tech Top 100 again is recognition of the choices we’ve made over several years. We deliberately focused on building a scalable operating model and a consistently high‑quality service before accelerating growth again. That discipline is now paying off through strong client demand and it gives us real confidence about what comes next.”
