Atlas Cloud has moved into an innovative new ‘hybrid working’ headquarters, added four new heads to support its growth and revealed a new strapline for its future.
Placed in the Northern Tech Awards as one of the 100 fastest-growing for the fourth year in a row, the IT services has added 22% to its recurring revenue since the beginning of the year. The hybrid working early adopters hit the national press early in the pandemic after their nationwide research was one of the first to recognise the change in office worker desires towards a split routine of both home and office working.
Following the expiry of their existing long-term lease at Newcastle’s Generator Studios, Atlas Cloud sought an innovative new co-working space fit for the hybrid working era, choosing the new office in the heart of the city at Maybrook House on Grainger Street, operated by Floe.
The hybrid-style co-working space allows employees to work as they prefer. There’s dedicated office space for employees that work from the office most of the time and room to expand when mostly home-based workers visit, at least once a quarter.
“Since our research into hybrid working, we’ve really adapted the business to the hybrid model. The office move is in fact the last piece of the puzzle. We now have colleagues based all over the country, something we never had before the pandemic.
“The new space is perfect for us, I think we will start to see a lot of businesses adopt the approach. We have our own dedicated space for regular office workers and can spill over into the various co-working areas when required, meaning we can continue to get the whole company together at regular intervals.”

Following a period of new client wins, Atlas Cloud has also added four new roles to its team within the last month. Zach Bagnall joins as a Technical Team Leader, Sajid Asghar joins as a Network & Security Engineer, while Chris Laidler and Dean Peacock have bolstered service operations, joining as Cloud Analysts.
“We’ve gone from strength to strength since launching our first cyber security services at the beginning of the year. We’re delighted to repay the faith the North East economy has put in us by adding these four new roles to our operations.”

As the business expands, adapting to today’s modern IT requirements, Atlas Cloud has also unveiled a new strapline to demonstrate their new way of working along with a rift of new services.
The new tagline – ‘research-led IT services’ – reflects Atlas Cloud’s current approach of rigorously understanding its customer userbase as well as the IT threat landscape, basing innovations on insights from extensive research in these two key areas. Data like this, they believe, helps its customers make better decisions about IT costs and investments, creating more efficient organisations.
They’ve already surveyed tens of thousands of IT users across the UK and plan to further invest in their research capabilities to offer an IT benchmarking service in the future.
“Our expansion continues. The cyber security business now offers Government-backed Cyber Essentials accreditations and the managed services business has a new flagship XLA service.
“Delivering on our new strapline, we’ve been monitoring IT effectiveness in beta by scoring user experience through Experience Level Agreements, or XLA for short. Once XLA data has reached a critical mass in key sectors, we plan to share industry average scoring, meaning business leaders could base their budgets around IT effectiveness in their sector. It has the potential to completely change the way we think about technology in business.”
