THE SOLUTION
After moving away from on-premise software, the need for virtual desktops diminished. Recognising this, the Atlas Cloud team proposed a new solution that better fit their organisation’s new requirements.
The new solution was to shifted Blair West’s architecture to a device-led approach, rather than virtualisation in our data centres. The Atlas Cloud team now use remote endpoint management technology to allow engineers to service machines remotely, to a level akin to being physically present on-site. Combined with sophisticated remote monitoring technology, Atlas Cloud engineers can also work proactively in the background to solve potential issues before they cause disruption.
To ensure high levels of security, multi-factor authentication is used to block unauthorised access; coupled with encryption, advanced threat protection and remote patching – on top of the security features you’d expect.
THE OUTCOME
The new solution allows consultants to access work faster, offers better performance for Microsoft Teams and allows consultants to work from anywhere. Yet, it still maintains the highest of security standards and allows Atlas Cloud engineers to monitor, service and protect devices remotely and in real-time – often without consultants even knowing.
