Celebrating culture at the Atlas Cloud office

A few weeks ago, a member of the Atlas Cloud team, Abu organised an office curry day. Abu thought it would be a great time to showcase his own and his family’s talent whilst they were celebrating Eid.

Abu was keen to introduce his homemade food to his Atlas Cloud team, who were equally as keen to try it out.

We asked Abu why he came up with the idea of bringing in food for his work colleagues whilst celebrating Eid he replied, “Feeding others is very virtuous in Islam and is considered as an act of piety. It creates Unity and Strengthens Relationships. Once the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was asked “Which aspect of Islam is best? He Said, Feeding people and greeting those you know and those you do not know”.

At Atlas Cloud we are more than just a Team. No matter how many times you fall – there will always be someone there to offer you a hand. So, to express my gratitude for all the support I thought I’d follow this very example of feeding others to strengthen bonds and to unite the hearts.”

As part of our efforts to incorporate different cultures and interests into our working environment, the Atlas Cloud team has decided to host a themed day every month. The themed day will involve bringing in food that has a significant meaning to each individual.

In addition to this, our social committee is aiming to host a team building event once a month with out of office activities to de-stress after a busy week in the office.
