Join our CEO Pete Watson and 40 other like-minded IT professionals who are taking part in the 100K cycle in aid of Action for Children to benefit Byte Night North East.
As a member of the Byte Night board, Atlas Cloud partnered with KPMG and Harvey Nash to create a corporate cycle event to contribute to the overall annual target of £100,000 for Action for Children in the North East alone.
Byte Night is Action for Children’s biggest fundraiser; a national ‘sleep out’ event. A few members of the Atlas Cloud team participated in the event last year – where over £1 million was raised for the charity and over £60k in the North East alone. Byte Night has teamed up with Total Racing to take their efforts further by introducing their first ever corporate cycle.
The ride is set to take place on 7th September and will cover 100K in the Northumberland area.
There are 40 places available in the ride. To secure a spot in the cycle, a small amount of £50 must be paid by each rider. This cost also includes a free jersey to wear during the event and to take home as a souvenir. Each rider is also encouraged to fundraise a minimum of £250 each to contribute towards the North East’s target.
The event will be sponsored by Atlas Cloud, KPMG and Harvey Nash. There is also a sponsorship opportunity available which can be discussed in further detail by contacting hello@atlascloud.co.uk.
ABOUT BYTE NIGHT
Byte Night is Action for Children’s biggest annual fundraiser; a national ‘sleep-out’ event. Each year, hundreds of like-minded people from the technology and business arena give up their beds for one night to help change the lives of vulnerable young people. It all began in 1998 when 30 individuals slept out in London and raised £35,000. Since then Byte Night has grown to 10 UK locations and over 1200 people slept out in 2016. Byte Night is one of the UK’s top 20 mass participation charity events and is the largest charity sleep-out having raised over £8.4 million since the first event.
