Event | Sage Sessions Birmingham

As a recognised Gold Sponsor of Sage, Atlas Cloud is lined up to sponsor Sage Sessions throughout 2018.

Our first event was last week in Birmingham. The events are designed to bring together partners and accountants to gain an insight into the latest innovation and inspiration direct from the Sage team.

The events include networking opportunities, market insights, product demos and a chance to discuss the abilities of Sage’s partners.

We are set to sponsor all of the Sage Sessions events as gold sponsors. We were joined by partners such as AutoEntry, Quinyx and EzeScan.

The day kicked off with a keynote speaking slot. The slot provided attendees with Sage’s proposition, values and what we can expect as customers in the following year. Alan Laing, Managing Director of Sage, also gave an insight into how the UK is performing in terms of productivity and how technology, like Sage, can aid this.

In addition to sponsoring the event, our CEO, Pete Watson, was invited to speak on some of the panels.

Pete featured on the panel which discussed Sage as a Marketplace and the opportunity this provides both customers and partners. He was also able to present his predictions into what accountants can expect in terms of technology trends in the next year. He stated that accountants are going to see the opportunity cloud technology can provide in the next year.

In addition to the Sage Marketplace panel, Pete also featured on the “Ask the Legends” panel which included business leaders from various software solution providers to give their insight into what they have seen in terms of cloud technology, customer adoption rates and what they predict for the future.

Pete made a good point that cloud is not simply the adoption of new technology but it is actually a complete business model change. This means for businesses, they can adapt their entire attitude to working to make their work life, work for them. Remote and mobile working is providing new opportunities for the modern day organisation and enabling better productivity and ability for growth with its complete scalability.

The day closed with a reflection on what had been covered throughout the first Sage Session event. This reflection was brought to life by More Than Minutes as shown below.

After the event, Sage hosted an open bar with Managing Director, Alan Laing, expressing his thanks and giving his thoughts on the first event. The Sage team was also curious as to which event the attendees preferred, the Sage Sessions or the Sage Summit that took place at the beginning of this year in London, which we also sponsored.

We are looking forward to the upcoming events and strengthening our partnership with Sage through our gold sponsorship level. As Sage look to transform their business with their digital journey, we are aiding them to bridge the gap. The 2017 Sage Summit is set to take place at The Sage in Gateshead in January. Watch this space for more information and to register for the workplace of the future events.
