What is Managed Detection and response?

MDR is an emerging solution that takes a proactive approach to protecting an organisation from cyber threats.

As the name suggests, there are two key parts to MDR. The first is about establishing methods to detect early signs of suspicious activity, the second is about acting upon them.

The managed element brings in an important human factor. Unlike threat detection and response (TDR) – an entirely technological solution – MDR is a service managed by experts who periodically spend time both detecting issues and responding to anything suspicious.

Atlas Cloud uses Microsoft Defender from the Microsoft 365 suite as the cornerstone of its MDR solution. We have protective solutions compatible the 365 stack.

Not just secure, reassuringly secure.

There are two types of IT service provider.

One will do everything possible to secure the technology they’re responsible for. The other will do everything possible to keep their customers’ cyber security risks low.

Atlas Cloud is the second type of provider.
