Digitise Frontline Care Workers

Frontline care staff are the heart-blood of any care home so it stands to reason that empowering them to do the job to the best of their ability will lead to better patient and business outcomes.

At Atlas Cloud we believe it’s crucial to extend digitisation to frontline care workers and not just back-office staff in order for your care group to reap the numerous benefits of cloud IT.

Why Prioritise Frontline Workers?

According to Forbes1, organisations who prioritise the digital empowerment of frontline workers can realise the following benefits:

Improved
staff
retention

64% of business leaders see a decrease in employee turnover after empowering frontline workers with digital tools.

Increased
business
revenue

70% of organisations that empower frontline workers ultimately see an increase in sales and revenue.

Greater
patient
satisfaction

83% of organisations that empower frontline workers see greater customer satisfaction (i.e. patient / resident satisfaction).

More
productive
employees

91% of business leaders see an increase in frontline workers’ performance and productivity when digitally empowered.

Empower Your Care Staff

Having the right digital tools at their fingertips helps frontline workers to be more productive, allowing them to be less rushed and deliver better patient care. By making collaboration easier and reducing paperwork, staff are less likely to reach the point of burnout.

As such, digitally empowered employees feel greater job satisfaction, leading to a more loyal workforce and ultimately improved staff retention. Read our latest whitepaper to discover how empowering your frontline care staff with Microsoft 365 can make all the difference to your care group.

Microsoft 365 Tools For The Frontline

Many organisations overlook frontline workers when it comes to digitising their business because of software licensing costs. This is why many care homes are still producing mounds of paperwork and racking up countless hours of unnecessary manual processing. But it doesn’t need to be like this. What many don’t realise is that Microsoft have pared back Microsoft 365 packages—geared specifically for frontline workers—starting at significantly lower price points.

With a Microsoft 365 F1 license your frontline workers will receive:

Office Apps on
The Web and Mobile
Reduce paperwork / manual processes and boost efficiency
Microsoft Teams Icon

Collaborate, communicate, and organise shifts / tasks

If your frontline workers require more then there’s always Microsoft 365 F3, which includes business-class email via Microsoft Outlook, among other things. Prices for F3 are still significantly lower than packages designed for information workers (i.e. your back office staff).

TRUSTED BY HEALTHCARE ORGANISATIONS

We work with a range of healthcare providers throughout the UK, from care homes through to hospices.
We understand the specific needs of the healthcare sector and we’re committed to giving the same level of care to our customers as they give to their patients and residents.

Protect Data and Systems From Cyber Attacks

In recent years the cyber threat landscape has shifted massively, with ransomware attacks being more prevalent than ever. Cyber criminals are actively targeting the healthcare sector as they believe there to be: a) A general lack of cyber preparedness within healthcare organisations and b) An inherent necessity to keep services running and avoid patient care being negatively impacted. Is your care group adequately equipped to fend off such unscrupulous attackers?

Keeping The Lights On

Keeping systems running is vital for care homes as outages are highly likely to have an impact on patient care.

Compliance In The Care Sector

The NHS has fired a shot across the bows of the private healthcare market; making it mandatory for their suppliers to comply with minimum standards and align with the DSP Toolkit, as well as becoming Cyber Essentials Plus accredited.

Similarly, the CQC is encouraging care providers to use the DSP toolkit to assess their own cyber security stature and provide evidence that they’re complying with legal and regulatory requirements. It can only be a matter of time before we see these measures being made compulsory within the care home sector, with non-compliance likely to lead to loss of contracts, potential fines, and reduced CQC ratings.

Read our care home industry report to learn more and discover how Atlas Cloud can help you prepare for future mandatory compliance.
